Welcome

Welcome to New Hope Baptist Church Pell City Alabama, where there is New Hope in Jesus.

Our Children's Ministry is a wonderful place for your child, learning about Jesus and applying biblical truths while having fun! Our Sunday School program, which begins at 9:00 AM is "out of this world".

While the adults attend the Morning Worship Service at 10:15 in the sanctuary, kids in Kindergarten to 4th grade have a fun-filled hour of music, games and exciting bible lessons in the Family Life Center with Lifeway's Worship Kidstyle.

At 6:00 PM on Sunday Evenings we have another exciting hour of Children's Church for kids in Kindergarten to 4th grade also held in the Family Life Center.

Don't miss out on our midweek service which begins at 6:30 each Wednesday night in which we learn about missions in our GA and RA program.

I could really go on and on but I have a better idea! Why don't you come join us and just see for yourself what we have to offer.

Kids in Christ

KIC's - "Kids in Christ" meets every Wednesday night from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Kids from 1st to 4th grade will meet together in the gym/fellowship hall for a snack and an overview of our lesson. Then we divide up and play a game, make a craft or discuss how our lesson has an impact on our lives or those around us. We spend about 25 minutes in two of the above classes and each week our classes/teachers get to rotate.

Our teachers are Carla Mooney - Crafts, Thomas Mooney - Games, and Tina Webber - Discovery Zone.

Pre-Teen

Wednesday night Pre-Teen classes are every Wednesday night from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Our Pre-Teen ministry is for 5th & 6th graders getting ready to move up into the youth. Kristy Lemley is our teacher and always has an exciting lesson prepared.

Plan of Salvation

What is Salvation?

Salvation means being saved from something. We all have sin in our lives and there is nothing that we can do by ourselves to stop it. That is why God sent His only son Jesus to the earth. He never sinned against God. His life was sacrificed on the cross so that we could be saved from sin - salvation.

How do you get it? That's as easy as A B C! 1st of all you have to Admit to God that you are a sinner. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Then don't ever go back to doing those 'sins'. Romans 3:23 says that we all have sinned and Romans 6:23 says to repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.

Then Believe that Jesus is God's Son, that He took care of our sin on the cross and accept God's free gift of forgiveness from sin. John 3:16 tells us that God loves us so much that He gave His one and only son to us and if we believe in Him we can live forever with Him in Heaven. John 14:6 tells us that Jesus is the only way that we can go to God. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that salvation is a free gift from God, we cannot get it just by being good.

Now Call out to Him and Confess that Jesus is Lord and that you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Romans 10:9-10,13 says If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Can you lose your Salvation?

Salvation is forever. In John 10:27-30 Jesus says that if we believe in Him, we become His sheep and that we will listen to His voice and He will know us and that nothing can take us away from Him.

Would you like to accept this free gift? You don't have to know how to pray to talk to God, He knows your heart. But here is an example to help you get started. Just pray this prayer - "Dear Jesus, I know I'm a sinner, and I believe you've paid the penalty for my sins. Now please come into my life. In Jesus Name, Amen."

That's it!

How wonderful it is to be a "Child of God"! If you prayed this prayer, please share that with us! We want to be able to celebrate with you and help you in your new walk with Jesus! Please send me an email at rhondanhbc@centurytel.net and tell me about your experience. I want to help you find a church in your area where you can go to Sunday School and learn more about Jesus and His love for you! If you live in the Pell City Alabama area, we have so many things to offer you at New Hope Baptist Church. Please call us at 205-338-2645 for directions or if you need anything to help you with your new relationship with God!

We love you!
