GA is a comprehensive missions education program, for girls in grades 1-6, which includes praying for missions, engaging in missions action and witness, learning about missions, developing spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, participating in the work of the church and denomination, and supporting missions.
Through participation in GA, girls grow in their knowledge, understanding, and application of the Bible. They also learn from the example of missionaries, believers, and hands-on mission action what it means to actively engage in ministering to others with the compassion of Christ.
Come join the "Circle of Friends" in GA's at New Hope Baptist Church. We meet each Wednesday night at 6:30.

Our very first Mission Fair turned out to be quite a success! Thanks to Ben and Patricia Chandler from the St Clair Baptist Association, Luther Williams from the Coosa County Baptist Association, David Melvin and Family, Dawn Moore and Mindy Kamper. And everyone else that helped!
We got to taste some food from various countries, play games that kids in other countries would play, learned origami and weaving, and most of all meet some really great missionaries!
This event was to 'kick-off' our GA and RA program that will begin on Wednesday night August 13th at 6:30 PM. Please don't miss out on a chance to learn even more about missionaries in other countries and how we can be missionaries right here in Pell City, Alabama.
Thank you to all that came out and made this event a success!
God blessed us with a beautiful day to have an Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of New Hope Baptist Church! There were 85+ children and their families. Everyone enjoyed a puppet show by our very own Kids of the King Puppet Ministry, led by Greg "Skeet" Davis, Holly Hunter and Tonya Saunders and songs by the NHBC Children's Choir led by Cammie Rice and Stephanie Wilson. Our Worship Leader, Laurie Brasher emceed the event and Bro. Paul explained the wonderful message of the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior using the Resurrection Eggs.
All of the events were perfectly planned out by Karen Pack. Thank you to all of you who cooked hot dogs, served and cleaned in the kitchen, set up and cleared away all chairs and tables, and hid over 1600 eggs.
Kids of the King Puppet Ministry is about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through songs and skits.
We have some extremely talented 1st through 6th graders! You should see their blacklight performances! Come join us every third Sunday in the Evening Worship Service at 6:00 PM and get a blessing!
If you would be interested in joining the puppet ministry, we have practice in the Family Life Center at 5:00 PM on Sundays.
The Kids of the King Puppet Ministry has been performing in campgrounds, at church-wide functions, lock-ins and other church services for about 7 years now. We will come out and share with your children's ministry. Just email me at rhondanhbc@centurytel.net if you are interested in booking a performance.
Led by Greg (Skeet) Davis, Assisted by Holly Hunter and Tonya Saunders!.

Big thanks to Coaches Greg (Skeet) Davis and Greg Compton!
1st - 3rd Grade Co-ed Basketball
Look at this great group of kids! This is the 1st through 3rd grade co-ed basketball team for New Hope Baptist Church. They had a great season, lots of fun and enjoyed playing with kids from other area churches. Congratulations!
Many thanks to Coaches Nathan Rice and Stacy Thomas! Great job!
AM Children's Church
AM Children's Church is held in the gym beginning at 10:15. We reinforce our Sunday School lesson using Lifeway's KidStyle Worship. We let kids worship...like kids! That's what Worship KidStyle is all about. Fun music videos with motions lift hearts and hands to God. Attention-holding, life application videos tell stories kids can relate to!
Leaders for this program are Thomas and Amy Mooney.

Kids in Christ
KIC's - "Kids in Christ" meets every Wednesday night from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Kids from 1st to 4th grade will meet together in the gym/fellowship hall for a snack and an overview of our lesson. Then we divide up and play a game, make a craft or discuss how our lesson has an impact on our lives or those around us. We spend about 25 minutes in two of the above classes and each week our classes/teachers get to rotate.
Our teachers are Carla Mooney - Crafts, Thomas Mooney - Games, and Tina Webber - Discovery Zone.

Plan of Salvation
What is Salvation?
Salvation means being saved from something. We all have sin in our lives and there is nothing that we can do by ourselves to stop it. That is why God sent His only son Jesus to the earth. He never sinned against God. His life was sacrificed on the cross so that we could be saved from sin - salvation.
How do you get it? That's as easy as A B C! 1st of all you have to Admit to God that you are a sinner. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Then don't ever go back to doing those 'sins'. Romans 3:23 says that we all have sinned and Romans 6:23 says to repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.
Then Believe that Jesus is God's Son, that He took care of our sin on the cross and accept God's free gift of forgiveness from sin. John 3:16 tells us that God loves us so much that He gave His one and only son to us and if we believe in Him we can live forever with Him in Heaven. John 14:6 tells us that Jesus is the only way that we can go to God. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that salvation is a free gift from God, we cannot get it just by being good.
Now Call out to Him and Confess that Jesus is Lord and that you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Romans 10:9-10,13 says If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Can you lose your Salvation?
Salvation is forever. In John 10:27-30 Jesus says that if we believe in Him, we become His sheep and that we will listen to His voice and He will know us and that nothing can take us away from Him.
Would you like to accept this free gift? You don't have to know how to pray to talk to God, He knows your heart. But here is an example to help you get started. Just pray this prayer - "Dear Jesus, I know I'm a sinner, and I believe you've paid the penalty for my sins. Now please come into my life. In Jesus Name, Amen."
That's it!
How wonderful it is to be a "Child of God"! If you prayed this prayer, please share that with us! We want to be able to celebrate with you and help you in your new walk with Jesus! Please send me an email at rhondanhbc@centurytel.net and tell me about your experience. I want to help you find a church in your area where you can go to Sunday School and learn more about Jesus and His love for you! If you live in the Pell City Alabama area, we have so many things to offer you at New Hope Baptist Church. Please call us at 205-338-2645 for directions or if you need anything to help you with your new relationship with God!
We love you!
